EM1

First crew at Bath, Maine. Arrived as EM3, made EM2. Beautiful ship, great crew, & I still love that Ship. Sailed with her to Mayport. Made EM1, but left as an EM2 for a harbor tug in Mayport. Served on the shanadoah (AD26, repair dept. prior to the Standley, but the "32" was my dream. Robert E. Ticen former EM1.

I joined the ship in December of 1987 at the end of a cruise. Made the 1989 West-Pac with the Ranger Battle Group. Completed the overhaul in Portland, Oregon in 1990-1991 and separated from the Navy in early 1992.

Engineer Officer

I was the Engineer Officer from Aug 76 - Aug 78. Made one Med cruise. The ship transferred to the west coast. Major engineering overhaul at PSNSY. 77-78. Great bunch of engineers. The best!!
