A lot of old timers on here before me. I reported aboard straight out of A School as a YNSR in 1979. I worked in the Ship's Office for YNC Floyd Fessler. Some names that I remember are PNCS Reams, YN1 Sullivan, LTJG Marty Kurdys (who was a young division officer at the time), CAPT Ned Roberts, CAPT Morton E. Toule (a crusty Vietnam Vet), CDR Watkins, PNSN Herman, PC2 Piersol. A lot of memories. Also, I remember when I was aboard at the time in San Diego that the Gunner's Mates were under a lot of scrutiny (a very interesting time).
