I was stationed on the Willie Hotdog in Subic bay during the Iranian Hostage situation. I met some great buddies. Wayner, Newsome, Guzenski, Turtle, Tree, Fast, Allen, "Choach"

I was the Pilot Rescue/ship swimmer ***gned to the Captains gig for Abandon Ship.

Qualified for Firemarshall,. What an *** experience to serve my country on a awesome ship.

Please If anyone remembers me RM James Shumard . I was on the Standley with you while in the yards in Portland from 1990-1991. If you remember me great. I need a quick favor the Veterans Administration lost my medical records. I am trying to find any of my friends that remember me and what happened to me. That I fell down a ladder while we were in the ship yard. If you could type and sign a letter that just says.
I remember RM James R Shumard Jr injuring his knees while on board the USS William H Standley CG-32 in Swan Island shipyard, Portland, OR. Sometime between 1990-1991 and being discharged after that.
